Wooden decor links continue to trend online and are featured within popular decor magazines. I have seen these trendy links sold at major retailers and some have an upward price tag of over $100.
Decor links come in a variety of finishes such as stone, metal, and wood. The wooden decor links-style tends to be my favorite. I wanted to create an affordable option to share with you. So I am back with another Dollar Tree DIY.
Here are the supplies you will need:
- 3 Wooden toy snake
- Wood glue
- Box cutter or hand saw
- Sandpaper
- Painter’s tape
- Wood stain (optional)
Lay the wooden toy snake on a flat surface. Using a box cutter or hand saw, carefully remove the head and tail from all your wooden tail snakes. Once removed, you will be left with 3 pieces of wonderfully carved pine wood. You can now apply the stain of your choice and allow it to dry. Next, take one of the pieces and apply glue to one of the ends and secure it in place with the painter’s tape. For the second piece, you will interlock into the first piece, apply glue, and again secure with the painter’s tape. Repeat for the last piece. Allow drying. Follow the manufactures drying time-based on the glue you applied to the wooden pieces. Once completely dry, remove the painter’s tape and style as desired. Style your wooden decor link in any room. Perfect to capture a Pinterest-worthy shelfie like below.
I would love to see how you styled your wooden link. Did you find this project helpful? Please comment below!
